Tokyo in full bloom

So glad I got to see Tokyo in Spring - made all the worry of nuclear leaks and daily earthquakes easier to handle. The park was full of bright blue plastic picnic mats and thousands of people sitting underneath the trees drinking sake all day long and into the night. No fights, just lots of laughter and rolling around - saw a few pukers which ruin the moment - but all things considered, the parks stay very peaceful. Its a nice tradition to celebrate new beginnings (one of the few months the Japanese decide to change jobs) and even more relevant this year with so many people suffering from the March 11th tsunami.
